Benin

Weather: Southern-central belt turned wetter: Abomey 49.1 mm vs 30.8 mm (+18.3 mm, +59%) and Bohicon 39.3 mm vs 29.9 mm (+31%). Northern hubs were drier but mostly not materially so (e.g., Kandi −4.5 mm, Bembèrèkè −6.5 mm). Relative to last week’s north-led wetness, the signal shifted south. Brazil

Weather: Inland Ceará–Piauí heat persisted: Piripiri averaged 33.8 °C vs 30.8 °C LTA (+2.9 °C) and Campo Maior 34.5 °C vs 31.7 °C (+2.8 °C), with near-negligible rain. Bahia’s coast flipped decisively wetter—Porto Seguro 91.9 mm vs 17.7 mm (+74.2 mm, +420%) and Ilhéus 45.2 mm vs 25.4 mm (+19.8 mm). Forecast 2025: 290 to 300 kg/ha (no change from last week – expected to be off-year in alternate bearing cycle).

 

Cambodia

Weather: Drying remained widespread and material: Chhloung 42.0 mm vs 75.0 mm (−33.0 mm, −44%) and Ou Chum 47.2 mm vs 77.3 mm (−30.1 mm, −39%); Andoung Meas −26.4 mm (−34%) with mean temps ~−1.6 °C. Central/northern districts also trended below LTA—Kampong Svay/Prasat Sambour −30.5 mm (−43%), Stueng Trang −13.7 mm (−18%), Chey Saen −24.7 mm (−46%), Rovieng −31.3 mm (−50%). India

Weather: Konkan/Kerala/Goa stayed much drier than LTA: Ratnagiri 6.2 mm vs 67.0 mm (−60.7 mm, −91%), Sindhudurg 23.2 mm vs 78.4 mm (−55.2 mm, −70%), Udupi 50.9 mm vs 89.6 mm (−38.7 mm). East-coast Andhra–Odisha hovered near average (e.g., Visakhapatnam ~41.0 mm vs 41.0 mm). Forecast 2026: 787,000 tons (slight increase from last week due to some normalising of precipitation totals in key areas).

 

Indonesia

Weather: West Nusa Tenggara turned markedly wetter and much cooler: Mataram 96.8 mm vs 21.1 mm LTA (+75.7 mm, +358%) with mean temps ~−5.3 °C; Bali’s Tabanan also surged (62.0 mm vs 28.6 mm, +33.4 mm, +117%, ~−2.2 °C). On Sulawesi’s coast, Makassar was wetter (51.0 mm vs 33.4 mm, +17.6 mm, +53%) and ~−1.5 °C cooler, while Mamuju Utara hovered near LTA for rain. Ivory Coast

Weather: Western/northwestern hubs were notably wetter: Séguéla 50.7 mm vs 28.1 mm (+22.7 mm, +81%) and Odienné 37.7 mm vs 23.5 mm (+14.2 mm, +60%). The east (Bondoukou) was slightly below average (−5.9 mm), while Korhogo and Bouaké were near norms. Forecast 2026: Early season projections indicate a decrease of 5 to 10% (no change from last week).

 

Nigeria

Weather: Continuing broad rainfall deficits across key belts: Enugu East 16.3 mm vs 47.8 mm LTA (−31.5 mm, −66%) and Nsukka 12.9 mm vs 61.5 mm (−48.6 mm, −79%); in the southwest, Ibadan NW 16.4 mm vs 37.5 mm (−21.1 mm, −56%) and Ogbomosho North 10.4 mm vs 25.1 mm (−14.7 mm, −59%). Middle-belt sites were also low—Lokoja −16.1 mm (−86%), Kabba/Bunu −19.2 mm (−81%). Tanzania

Weather: Core cashew belt steady with no material anomalies: Mtwara 3.6 mm vs 5.6 mm and Lindi 4.3 mm vs 7.1 mm (totals small). Outside the belt, north coast turned materially drier—Bagamoyo 6.2 mm vs 19.0 mm (−12.8 mm) and Muheza 6.5 mm vs 18.6 mm (−12.1 mm). Vietnam

Weather: Widespread, material rainfall deficits with a cool tilt: Pleiku 29.5 mm vs 80.6 mm (−51.2 mm, −63%, ~−2.2 °C) and Buôn Ma Thuột 28.0 mm vs 52.4 mm (−24.4 mm, −47%, ~−2.1 °C). Southeast districts also trended drier—Đồng Xoài −24.8 mm (−27%), Biên Hòa −32.1 mm (−38%), Long Khánh −36.2 mm (−39%).
